For the last few days I feel that I've been living with 1 foot in each world. One foot is solidly here, yet another part of me feels like I'm on the border of a parallel world. It isn't linear (life, death, rebirth), but rather circular, i.e., happening all at the same time. Is it possible that other lives are being led in another Universe, at the same time, rather than reincarnation? Possibly even on other planets? Who else has had these experiences?
I remember when I was Journaling my dreams way back - My "dreams" became so vivid, I had a hard time distinguishing my waking time from my dream time - or was it the other way around? =) I haven't had that type of experience lately (I quit Journaling not long after because I felt too uneasy with the feeling) but it was amazing to feel so ingrained in the two differing worlds that were also so much the same!
ReplyDeleteJen, you and I are soooo on the same page. I know we've had this and other similar experiences. I've had to work at being able to talk about this, because I used to be afraid I was losing my mind. What we now (in this society) call crazy, used to be called "The Shaman", a position of respect. Since I live in THIS world, I'd like to be called sane, so sometimes don't talk about alternative dimensions.
ReplyDeleteLiving with one foot in the day-to-day world and one foot in the spiritual, to me, seems the only way to really do good for the world as a spiritual being. If you live entirely in the day-to-day grind then you're not being the spiritual beacon the world needs. At the same time, if you live without connection to the day-to-day world, you're not bringing anything back. The only way to really serve is to be a bridge. Or so it seems to me. Not that it doesn't drive you bonkers :-D Great post!
ReplyDeleteI quite agree, John! I seem to always live close to Spirit, but sometimes (like the last few days) I'm mostly out-of-body. I don't drive on those days, (way too funny!) as I don't want to have to explain to an officer why I was weaving and speeding.
